Zefiora started as a small project in 2022. A few people who'd been playing games seriously for years and felt that most gaming media wasn't covering the topics they actually cared about. Not another review aggregator. Not a site chasing viral clips. Something that would take the craft of games seriously.
The name reflects that intent. It has no prior meaning — it's a clean slate, a platform we could build without inherited assumptions about what gaming media should look like.
We're based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our team is small and intentionally so. Every article published on this site has been read, edited, and considered by people who actually play the games they write about.
